This log entry is specifically generated when a Failure log entry is closed. It is very important to close a Failure entry when it is a lost time tracking one; all Failure log entries should be closed. You CANNOT close a Failure log entry by editing the Failure. There are several mechanisms for closing a Failure:
When the Failure log entry is first created the operator is presented with the Restore to Operation screen and is given the option of closing the Failure when it is first created.
Whenever a Failure log entry is high lighted then selecting the Close current Failure from the pop up Menu or from the Menu Edit / Close current failure or using the Ctrl-Q keyboard short cut.
Whenever in the Lost Time entry screen (see Lost Time) and a lost time record is high lighted the relevant Failure log entry can be closed by pressing the Restore/Close button.

Repair/Close date time refers to the time after the Failure is no longer to be tracked because the problem was repair, went away or it is no longer necessary to track lost time for this event.
Comment Any comment as to the resolution of the failure.
