Management of the MCB is important to allow timely access to the MCB by all devices. The MCB software should manage the bus in a way that will maximize the throughput for all devices, and will not starve out those devices that need service that may be of lower priority. It will also recognize when a device is unavailable, and will not waste the bus bandwidth repeatedly reading a dead device. Currently, this is one of the more fundamental flaws in the way the M&C software uses the MCB.
