Conceptual design

The MCB Software layer is constructed as a VxWorks task. The task accepts requests from clients to interact with the SIBs on the bus through some IPC mechanism, such as a pipe, socket, or queue, and handles all the details, such as prioritizing, figuring out which serial port the SIB is connected to, checking the status of each operation, and returning the results to the requestor.
