We live in Barrio Dominguito.  This is our house . At Christmas,

we sometimes have a TREE. Like the Pinata head?

Dominguito is a barrio (neighborhood) in Arecibo.  Arecibo is the third oldest town in Puerto Rico.  Its is very pretty and has a central square with a big Catholic Church:

15 minutes away, in the mountains, is Arecibo Observatory, where Karen works .

There are lots of lizards in Puerto Rico.

The Tainos used to live in Puerto Rico.  This petroglyph is at one of their main ceremonial centers.  It is only 20 minutes from our house.

El Yunque is the only U.S. National Park which is a tropical rainforest.  It is pretty .

There are lots of beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico.

There is a tropical desert in the south part of Puerto Rico.  There are real cacti there!

San Juan is the second oldest European city in the western hemisphere.  Old San Juan has lots of very old  buildings and even an old wall that runs around the city.

We live near the Tanama River.  It is very long and has lots of cool caves.   It takes 12 hours just to go 6 miles down it.  Many of our friends have been dragged down it.  They usually have very sore butts the next day.
