Addendum A: IF Configuration for VLBI back end

Configure the paths through the IF system for the VLBA_DAR back end depending on the selected receiver, as follows:
Receiver Beam LCP Port RCP Port
Rcvr_342 C VLBA_DAR:D VLBA_DAR:B
Rcvr_450 C VLBA_DAR:D VLBA_DAR:B
Rcvr_600 C VLBA_DAR:C VLBA_DAR:A
Rcvr_800 C VLBA_DAR:C VLBA_DAR:A
Rcvr_1070 C VLBA_DAR:C VLBA_DAR:A
Rcvr1_2 C VLBA_DAR:C VLBA_DAR:A
Rcvr2_3 C VLBA_DAR:D VLBA_DAR:B
Rcvr4_6 C VLBA_DAR:C VLBA_DAR:A
Rcvr8_10 C VLBA_DAR:D VLBA_DAR:B
Rcvr12_18 B1 VLBA_DAR:C VLBA_DAR:A
Rcvr18_22 B1 VLBA_DAR:C VLBA_DAR:A
Rcvr22_26 B3 VLBA_DAR:C VLBA_DAR:A
Rcvr40_52 B1 VLBA_DAR:C VLBA_DAR:A
The default polarization for VLBI observing is circular.

For convenience in setting up a spectrum analyzer, set all the Rack A synthesizers (G1, G2, G3, and G4 to the same frequency that is used for the path to ports A and C, and all Rack B synthesizers (G5, G6, G7, and G8) to the same frequency that is used for the path to ports B and D. Select the 0.5-1.0GHz output for all Converter Modules.

Addendum B: IF Configuration for Radar back end

There are only two ports for the Radar Back end, designated "RadarPfs:J1" and "RadarPfs:J2". These usually connect to Converter modules 10 & 14. Connect the LCP path from the receiver to "RadarPfs:J1", and the RCP to "RadarPfs:J2".

The default polarization for Radar observing is circular.

For convenience in setting up a spectrum analyzer, set all the Rack B synthesizers (G5, G6, G7, and G8 to the same frequency that is used for the path to the Radar backend, and select the 0.5-1.0GHz output for Converter Modules 9-16.
