stable

The stable installation is just a symbolic link which
points to either stable1 or stable2. All standard AIPS++ work for the
GBT should use this installation, including the operation of GO, dish, and
IARDS.

stable1
|
The stable1 installation is one of two repositories
for a stable build. Stable builds are built in either stable1 or stable2,
whichever is not in production use with the GBT. The point of having
dual stable installations is that we can test the build of a new stable release
prior to putting that release into production. Also, we can avoid
GBT downtime associated with AIPS++ builds since the build only happens in
a non-production installation.
