Station Computer VME Rack

The OVLBI VME rack contains the station computer (MVME 147), MCB interface (MVME 331), two Decoder boards and the OVLBI optical modum. The MVME computer also includes a floppy disk drive and scci interface hard drive.

The station computer controls the scheduled execution of station commands. VxWorks is the real-time operating system, and all station control code is written in C. The station computer also supports the operator interface, real-time data logging and antenna pointing.

Decoder

The Decoder is built on two 6U wire wrap cards. The interface to the station computer is via the VME bus.
