Analysis
I. Calibrator
No calibrator observations were taken in this mode. (The wrong epoch was sent to GO.) Gain from the 1N8-0A-50-9 test, of 1.73 & 1.80 for pol. X & Y, respectively, was used.
II. Galaxy - UGC 9197o
Five 600s positioned-switched observations were made of U9197o. All of the scans were fine, although the first pair, 53/54, showed significant RFI which did not interfere with the galaxy (and is described below).
One IF1 spectra is below:
The measured flux, peak, and velocity widths of UGC 9179 falls within the errors of the flux published by Rick Fisher for all data, all IFS and all polarizations. The average of all 5 good 600s scans is below:
III. RMS
The rms noise for polarizations X and Y ranged from 16 - 17 mK for the individual data pairs, with no discernable difference between the four IFs. The theorectical value (assuming a Tsys of 19 for the two polarizations) gives 17 mK, matching the observations. The RMS of the five averaged scans was fell as 1/sqrt(time).
