Title: Spectral Processor Restart |
Last Revision: 02 SEP 02 |
This procedure can be used to restart the Spectral Processor in the case of a failure that will not clear by other means. Generally, the indication for the Spectral Processor being hung is that the scan will end and all devices will return to "Ready" with the exception of the Spectral Processor.
If it is "hung" in any particular state try the following before moving on to the TaskMaster restart.
STEP |
ACTION | |
---|---|---|
1 |
Click on the "Abort" button on the Scan Coordinator This will put the Spectral Processor in a "Fault" status. |
|
2 |
Start a new scan either with the Scan Coordinator or GO |
|
3 |
When all the devices selected go to the "running" state, with the exception of the Spectral Processor, click on the "Abort" button once more. |
|
4 |
If this process is going to work there will be a short delay and then the "Fault" status of the Spectral Processor will clear. |
|
5 |
If the "Fault" doesn't clear go on to the TaskMaster restart. |
|
6 |
If it does clear return to observing. |
