Title: Citrix Rome Server Access

Last Revision: 20 Feb 02

General

Citrix Metaframe and the Rome server provide us with two important capabilities. First, Citrix Metaframe allows us to run Windows (PC) type programs in a Unix/Linux environment without the use of a Windows emulator. Second, by using the Rome server, we make programs like MainSaver and OpsLog available site wide without having to install these programs on every workstation.

Info

MainSaver and OpsLog are located on the Citrix "Rome" server and can be accessed via a PC or Unix/Linux workstation. The steps below assume the Citrix Metaframe program is installed on your workstation.
