Project TBASERDN040129 January 29, 2004 Continuing Baseline tests Q-band rx. Weather is cold, intermittant snow, mostly cloudy. Tsys approx. 100K. Setup ACS to 800MHz BW. ACS in 4 bank, 2 samplers/bank mode. L1 -> ODM1 -> OR1 -> CM1 -> SF1 -> ACS J1 (bank 1, rcvr 1) CM2 -> SF2 -> ACS J3 (bank 2, rcvr 1) R1 -> ODM3 -> OR3 -> CM5 -> SF5 -> ACS J2 (bank 1, rcvr 2) CM6 -> SF6 -> ACS J4 (bank 2, rcvr 2) L2 -> ODM5 -> OR5 -> CM11 -> SF3 -> ACS J5 (bank 3, rcvr 1) CM12 -> SF4 -> ACS J7 (bank 4, rcvr 1) R2 -> ODM7 -> OR7 -> CM15 -> SF7 -> ACS J6 (bank 3, rcvr 2) CM16 -> SF8 -> ACS J8 (bank 4, rcvr 2) T=120s. Integration = 10s. Scan 2 starting at 13:01:07 Scans 2-6 GBT at access and stationary. BL of L2 and R2 are significantly worse than L1 and R1. Scans 7-11 Cross beam switches in FE. Rebalanced IF Rack and ACS. Poor BL stayed with FE. Scans 12-14 Inserted load paddle. Beam SWs still crossed. Scans 15-19 Increased LO1 power by 2dB. FE LO monitor 4.69->7.68. No significant difference. Returned Beam SW to thru, LO Power to normal. Setup DCR tau=0.1s, T=120s, TPwCal. Recording from ODM1, 3,5,7. Scan 20-24 Load paddle in. Scan 25-26 Load paddle out. Returned to ACS setup. Load paddle in. Galen bypassed the beam sws in L2 and R2. Scan 27-31 Scan 32-56 Restriced converter rack airflow. Scan 58-63 Galen restored transfer sw. We saw an improvement in all four chs after the L2 and R2 chs were cabled to bypass the sws, and still there. Trying to understand. Scans 64-67 Load paddle out. Rebalanced if rack. Scans 68-73 Load paddle in. Swapped L1 and L2 at dewar output. Scans 74-85 Restored system to normal state. Scans 88-89 Running off/on with antenna tracking. load paddle still on. Scans 90-99 Load paddle out. Rebalanced. Running off/ons with antenna tracking. Scan 99 start at 20:51:50.
