GBT Data Archiving Tape System
Data archiving is intended to be accomplished using a robotic tape

Note that there are several media types to choose from. we are
familiar with 4mm and 8mm tape. DLT is a newer technology that is
supposed to be very competitive with 8mm and 4mm. In addition to the
hardware, we will have a software controlled backup system that will
be automated, as much as possible.
